A Quick Caveat Regarding Rails’ Asset Precompiling
We’re in Banff launching the big V2 of Community Point. In the middle of deploying to Staging, we hit a strange gotcha with Rails 3’s asset precompiling:
"email_templates/question_mark.png? isn't precompiled"
We thought it was the subdirectory that was causing issues. Turns out that if you use a simple question mark “?” at the end of a filename, Sprockets gets confused. We updated the view code and are well on our way!
